National News : दिल्ली पुलिस ने कॉकरोच जनता पार्टी(CJP) को 10 अक्टूबर को मुख्य चुनाव आयुक्त ज्ञानेश कुमार के ख़िलाफ़ जंतर-मंतर पर विरोध प्रदर्शन की इजाजत देने से इनकार कर दिया है.
VIDEO | Delhi: Addressing a press conference on CJP's proposed protest on October 10, Joint Commissioner of Police, Nupur Prasad says, "On October 7, 2026, an application from Saurabh Das, Co-Convenor of the Cockroach Janata Party, was received in the New Delhi District. As per the application, an intimation was given regarding a protest to be held at Jantar Mantar on October 10 concerning the accountability of the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC). Upon processing this intimation, it was found that the notice was received at very short notice. Under current guidelines, an application to organise an event at Jantar Mantar must be submitted at least 10 days prior to the scheduled date. It is also important to note that, based on the past conduct of the CJP on a separate occasion, undertakings and lawful directions given previously were not followed. In light of the non-compliance with prescribed procedures, the failure to adhere to past legal directions, and the current state of public safety, law and order, and traffic regulation, permission for the proposed protest at Jantar Mantar is hereby denied." दिल्ली की Joint Commissioner of Police नूपुर प्रसाद ने कहा कि पुलिस को कॉकरोच जनता पार्टी के को-कन्वीनर सौरव दास की ओर से एक आवेदन मिला था. आवेदन 10 अक्टूबर को जंतर-मंतर पर विरोध प्रदर्शन करने की सूचना के बारे में था.
नूपुर प्रसाद ने कहा, CJP के आवेदन पर विचार किया गया तो पाया गया कि आवेदन देने में बहुत देर कर दी गयी है. आवेदन 7 अक्टूबर को मिला था. तय गाइडलाइन के अनुसार प्रस्तावित विरोध प्रदर्शन से 10 दिन पहले सूचना दी जानी चाहिए.
Joint Commissioner of Police ने कहा, इससे पहले जब कॉकरोच जनता पार्टी को वहां विरोध प्रदर्शन करने की इजाज़त दी गयी थी, तो उन्होंने कानूनी निर्देशों का पालन नहीं किया था.
इसलिए इस बार कानूनी निर्देशों का पालन नहीं करने और मौजूदा कानून-व्यवस्था की स्थिति को देखते हुए उन्हें इजाजत नहीं दी गयी है. बता दें कि नयी दिल्ली इलाके में पुलिस ने BNSS की धारा 163 लागू कर दी है.
