रूद्रप्रयाग के जिला आपदा प्रबंधन अधिकारी नंदन सिंह रजवार ने बताया कि हादसा सुबह करीब 11 बजे हुआ, वाहन में चालक दल के तीन सदस्यों समेत 23 यात्री सवार थे. वाहन सड़क से फिसलकर लगभग 250 मीटर नीचे अलकनंदा नदी के किनारे जा गिरा. उन्होंने कहा कि हादसे की सूचना मिलते ही राहत एवं बचाव दल मौके पर पहुंचे और अभियान शुरू किया .रुद्रपयाग सड़क हादसे में गंभीर रूप से घायल यात्रियों को एयरलिफ्ट कर एम्स ऋषिकेश लाया जा रहा है। संबंधित अधिकारियों को घायलों के बेहतर उपचार हेतु निर्देश दिए हैं।
