National News : बंगाल की खाड़ी में उठने वाला Cyclone Arnab 27 अक्टूबर तक बहुत गंभीर चक्रवाती तूफान' (very severe cyclonic storm) में बदल जा सकता है. अगले दिन 28 अक्टूबर को तूफान आंध्र प्रदेश के तट से टकरायेगा. IMD (मौसम विभाग) ने इसे लेकर सोमवार को रेड अलर्ट जारी किया है.
Cyclone Arnab is expected to strengthen into a very severe cyclonic storm by October 27 before making landfall at the Andhra Pradesh coast the following day, the IMD said on Monday, issuing a red alert. According to the IMD, Arnab, pronounced Ornab, is very likely to move west-northwestwards and intensify further into a severe cyclonic storm over the west-central Bay of Bengal by Monday evening and into a very severe cyclonic storm over the same region on Tuesday. "Thereafter, it is very likely to move northwestwards and cross Andhra Pradesh and the Yanam coasts between Bapatla and Visakhapatnam close to Yanam as a very severe cyclonic storm with the maximum sustained wind speed of 115-125 kmph, gusting to 140 kmph by the forenoon of 28 October," the weather office said. IMD का आकलन है कि Cyclone Arnab (अर्नब) के पश्चिम-उत्तर-पश्चिम की ओर बढ़ने और सोमवार शाम तक बंगाल की खाड़ी के पश्चिम-मध्य हिस्से में गंभीर चक्रवाती तूफान' में बदलने की संभावना है. मंगलवार तक यह और अधिक ताकतवर हो जायेगा और एक बहुत गंभीर चक्रवाती तूफान' का रूप ले लेगा.
मौसम विभाग ने जानकारी दी है कि यह उत्तर-पश्चिम की बढ़ेगा. तूफान 28 अक्टूबर की सुबह तक आंध्र प्रदेश और यनम के तटों को पार कर जा सकता है.तूफाम के बापटला और विशाखापत्तनम के बीच यनम के पास से गुजरने की संभावना है. यह बहुत गंभीर चक्रवाती तूफान के रूप में गुजरेगा. तूफान की हवा की लगातार 115-125 किमी प्रति घंटा बनी रहेगी. यह गति 140 किमी प्रति घंटा तक पहुंच सकती है.
